Figure drawing from life is often considered to be the most difficult and the most satisfying of all artistic endeavors. Art by the Creek provides opportunities for all levels of artists (beginner to professional) to work independently with a live model in a supportive group environment.

Drop-in sessions are held every Monday and Thursday 10am-1pm.

The open studio format works progressively from short timed gestures though to longer poses. A variety of models both male and female with different body types and ages are booked for Art by the Creek.

Fees are limited to fair-share contributions to the modeling fee and range from about $10-$15 per artist per session and will vary depending on the number of artists in attendance.

Art by the Creek provides easels, stools, coffee, water and fresh baked goods.

How To Participate

Bring your favorite pencils, paper, pastels, etc. along with your love of the human form and join us. All artistic media are welcome, however, consideration for other artists (e.g. strong odors) and the studio floors (e.g. spilled paints) are requested. If paints are to be used, dropcloths are required.
